This circa. 1850s Italianate Victorian Style house, located in the Lexington Historic District, had previously been divided into two units, one per floor. The owners wanted to add a large rear addition to create a side by side two-family house on the deep lot. The original Victorian home was restored and renovated and the new addition was placed behind the existing house, preserving the historic street front presence. The existing house and new addition are visually separated by a glass single story link, which clearly demarcates the historical from the new.
