Located within walking distance to downtown Lexington, MA, this 1892 American Four Square house underwent a complete renovation and major addition. The homeowners’ vision for the historic property involved removing a dated 1980’s addition to allow for a new attached two car garage, kitchen, family room, and master suite. The new addition was located mostly to the rear of the property to take advantage of the privacy that the lot offered. Restoring the historic architectural details of the property was very important to the homeowner’s and much consideration was taken during design to match the existing aesthetic. A new grand stair hall was designed to bring natural light deep into the center of the residence and connect all three floors of living space. With a steep slope to the lot, the walkout basement was finished with a guest suite, recreation room, office, and exercise space.

The projected was completed in 2022. The Contractor is R & M Construction.
