BFE Architects has an opening available for an in-office full-time Designer or Architect in our twelve-person office. Our award-winning firm has built a diverse project type portfolio, including Single Family Residences, Affordable and Assisted Living Housing, Educational and University Housing, Sacred Spaces, Adaptive-Reuse Structures, and other Commercial Projects. We have also recently designed and constructed Passive House level buildings as we strive to apply the best sustainable practices. BFE believes design is a collaborative process where communication and the expression of ideas bring out the best in projects.

BFE is seeking entry level or candidates with up to five years’ experience. Applicants should have a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, a diligent professional can-do attitude as well as the ability to work in a project team. Experience with Sketch-up and Adobe Suite is a plus. If hired, one can expect to experience the entire architectural process from initial client meetings through construction. Being a small office in an open studio lends itself to transparency of the goings-on of an architectural office by becoming an integral part of project teams. We seek people who are passionate about good design and want to learn how buildings go together.

Conveniently located in downtown Lexington along public transportation (bus) and the Cambridge-Bedford bike path; we offer free parking or public transportation reimbursement to all employees.
