Jesse Widtfeldt, LEED

Senior Associate

As a Senior Associate at BFE, Jesse oversees many of the projects that come through the doors, with a particular focus on multifamily and senior housing sectors. His design work ranges from award winning modern Skilled Nursing and Memory Care facilities integrated into existing historic campuses to deep energy retrofits of 200 unit Senior Living communities integrated into the urban fabric.

Jesse is committed to environmentally responsible design and is accredited as a LEED AP in order to better serve clients who are interested in pursuing a path of sustainable building practices. His regularly explores the relationship between a building design and all aspects of its site, from solar orientation and thermal mass utilization, to engaged social and community integration. He believes biophilic and universal design should be a given for all project typologies to improve the lives of all those who inhabit his work.

He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, including a year abroad in Florence, Italy where he studied architectural history and design. Outside of the office, Jesse is an avid outdoorsman always looking for a chance to get into the wilderness, be it skiing with his family or working with his kid’s cub scout dens on their next badge.
