This 1890s shingle style cottage is located on a bucolic site in Newton, MA. The project consisted of a complete renovation of the structure to let light in and simplify circulation. A dramatic three-story staircase atrium was created at the heart of the house with bookcases and window seats added on a second floor landing. The interiors utilize a rich mixture of materials and textures, combined with an overall simple geometry. The house has been featured in Boston Magazine, Metropolitan Home Magazine and the Home Section of the Boston Globe.
