IN 2009 THE CARROLL SCHOOL PURCHASED AN OLD NURSING HOME TO HOUSE THEIR EXPANDING STUDENT BODY, WHICH REQUIRED MAJOR INTERIOR RENOVATIONS. ALTHOUGH NO NEW SPACE WAS ADDED, WALLS WERE DEMOLISHED AND RELOCATED TO ACCOMMODATE LARGER CLASSROOMS AND INDIVIDUALIZED TUTORING SPACES, FLOORING WAS REPLACED THROUGHOUT THE BUILDING, AND THE ONCE BLAND CORRIDORS NOW ANIMATED WITH COLORFUL STOPS ALONG ITS LENGTH TO PROVIDE SITTING AND READING AREAS DIRECTLY OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOMS.
