Located in the "Old Cambridge" historic district , this renovation of a circa 1880 shingle style home features integration new modern conveniences with rich detailing. On the first floor, the kitchen, eating area and adjacent office spaces were renovated.  New custom cabinetry, appliances and a custom range hood were installed with an eye towards respecting the original style of the home. On the second floor, the master bedroom suite underwent a transition which included wrapping most of the walls with custom design paneling. Built-in closets, hand painted wall glazing, hand painted fireplace tiled surround and antique lighting add the finishing touches to create a timeless design. The master bathroom features Venetian plaster walls, bianco statuarietto marble wainscoting, radiant floor heating, and custom cabinetry. In addition to the master suite, the second floor renovations included the guest bedroom and bath. The final element of the project was the renovation of a third floor bathroom.  Wood wainscot, vernacular style cabinetry and casework recall the nineteenth century use as a servant's bath.
