Katahdin Hill 1 MIT Lincoln Laboratory

Designed to address an immediate need for flexible research space this new structure provided MIT Lincoln Laboratory 22,000 square feet of advanced light electronic research area. To serve changing programmatic requirements the building had to be flexible in its design utilizing long span structures and demountable partitions. Development of surrounding site infrastructure and parking for one hundred employees was also incorporated. Owner occupancy was achieved within a six month construction period.
