Gibbet Hill Farm
Groton, Massachusetts

Located near historic Groton town center, Gibbet Hill Farm provides the community with a much needed restaurant and function hall facility. The rural site was purchased by the owners to prevent the construction of a large scale housing development on verdant pastureland. The majority of the site was set aside as conservation land. The existing barns were extensively renovated and additions constructed for the kitchen and function hall. The restaurant features new cylindrical dining rooms housed in an authentic corrugated metal silo with a vented dome, and the large function hall windows are fitted with wooden slat sunscreens that allow filtered daylight into the interior. Both buildings feature innovative acoustically treated barnboard ceilings to mitigate ambient noise levels.
